The Magen David Warriors faced off against the Flatbush Falcons on Wednesday night, December 4th.
The first half was very fast paced and as both teams were scoring in flurries. The Warriors were propelled by 15 first half points by Phil Sherr to lead 30-27 at the intermission. The first 16 minutes were very competitive, with neither team being able to distance themselves from the other.
The Warriors were able to open up the game in third quarter using stifling defense that led to easy transition baskets, and led 54-41 at the end of the third quarter. Josh Chabbott's 14 4th quarter points helped MDY pull away late. The final score was 78-52 in favor of the Warriors.
Chabbott led all scorers with 21 points (7/10 FG, 4/5 3PT), 8 rebounds, and 4 assists. Sherr added 17 points, 4 assists and 4 rebounds. Alfonse Shiloach and Jack Dweck contributed12 and 10 points, respectively. The Warriors are now 5-2 in league play and 10-5 overall, and will next head to Frisch for a cross-conference matchup on Wednesday, December 11th.
