The TABC Varsity Hockey team traveled to Paramus to kick off their season against the Frisch Cougars on election night! There were high expectations for the Storm as they headed into their opening match, as this is the same team that won the JV championship two years ago.
The Storm came racing out of the gate, with star player Aiden Rauzman ‘25 getting on the scoresheet less than a minute into the game. That set the tone early and silenced the home crowd. Rauzman then added a second goal only two minutes later. TABC out-hit, out-shot, and out-played Frisch throughout the first period.
In the second period, a nifty backhander from Akiva Mittel ‘25 padded the Storm lead. The Cougars finally got on the board, but Rauzman quickly stifled any momentum and completed his hat trick. Former Cougar Ethan Mauskopf ‘25 capped off the scoring with a laser off a face-off win.
Frisch had a tough night finding ways past goaltender Shia Forgash ‘25 and the final score ended in favor of TABC, 5-1. It was a great start to the regular season for TABC, who next play @ Ohr Yisroel on Sunday. Frisch will look to bounce back on Thursday night versus MTA.
