The JEC JV basketball team earned a well-deserved victory over Heschel on Tuesday night, December 10th, showcasing teamwork and consistent play throughout the game.
JEC started strong, jumping out to a 15-5 lead at the end of the first quarter. The opening period was punctuated by an exciting steal and buzzer-beater from Aharon Erez, setting the tone early. In the second quarter, both teams traded baskets, but JEC managed to extend their lead, taking a 33-19 advantage into halftime.
After the break, JEC controlled the pace and steadily widened the gap, closing out the game with a confident finish. Erez led the team with an impressive 27 points, contributing significantly to the 69-34 final score.
The win improves JEC’s season record to 4-2 as they look to carry this momentum forward. The Thunder will next take on Kushner in Livingston on Wednesday night, December 18th.
